The TOWN OF BRANDON seeks a qualified candidate to fill a full-time position in the Highway Department as a member of the Town Highway Crew.  

A successful applicant must be able to operate public works equipment and vehicles, conduct preventative maintenance and repairs, perform all types of road maintenance, install and repair components of municipal wastewater (sanitary sewer) and stormwater systems, and respond on a 24-hour basis to emergencies.  

The successful applicant must function well as part of a team and within an established chain of authority.  Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be experienced in highway maintenance, construction means and methods, equipment operation (grader experience a plus), or a related field and possess a valid State of Vermont Class B air brake endorsement commercial driver’s license (CDL).  Pre-employment drug testing and intermittent unannounced testing is required.
